The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress, or (CAASPP), is the test given to students in grades 3-8 and 11 in the subjects of language arts and mathematics. The CAASPP includes a computer-adaptive test and is meant to assess student attainment of California’s Common Core Standards.
This year students in 5th and 8th grade will also take the fully operational California Science Test (CAST), which is an online assessment based on the California Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Along with student results in language arts and mathematics, parents should expect to receive results for their student’s achievement on the CAST test during the summer of 2020.
Testing dates and times for your child can be found in the attachments below. To help our students do their best, we urge our parents to make sure their child is at school during testing and that they come to school well rested and fed.
